Who This Is For

If you recognise
yourself in any of these.

  1. You're a graduate or school leaver walking into your first proper role and the gap between what you know and how you sound is already showing.
  2. You're in your first decade of work, capable, working hard, but watching peers get noticed for reasons you can't quite name.
  3. You're preparing for an interview, panel, or presentation that will shape the next few years of your career and you can't afford to underperform.
  4. You're going for promotion and you know your communication is what stands between you and the next role.
  5. You're a parent watching your son or daughter sell themselves short in interviews and meetings, and you want to give them something that actually helps.
The LEAD Framework

Four pillars.
One coherent system.

Every communication failure traces back to one of four pillars. Master all four and you stop sounding like someone trying to be taken seriously — and start being someone the room naturally takes seriously.

Pillar 01
LANGUAGE.

How clearly and directly you structure what you say. Lead with the point. Cut what doesn't change the decision. People act on what you say, not just hear it.

Pillar 02
EDGE.

The presence you bring before you speak. Pace, posture, eye contact, the way you enter a room. How you carry yourself decides how the room reads you before any words register.

Pillar 03
ASSURANCE.

How you hold yourself together when the room turns hard. Challenged, surprised, pushed back on — the recovery is what marks you as someone people can rely on under pressure.

Pillar 04
DIRECTION.

What happens when the first three work together. People don't just hear you. They follow you. Not because of your job title — because of how you communicate.

How The Coaching Works

Six weeks.
One-to-one.
Built around you.

The Command Presence programme is six weeks of one-to-one coaching, structured around the LEAD Framework. One pillar per week with the sixth week pulling it all together. Live sessions, practical exercises, honest feedback, and someone watching the work you can't see yourself doing.

The programme is built on a method I call the Special Interest — and it's the thing that makes it work for people who've been put off by traditional coaching.

The Special Interest Method

Every client picks a subject they genuinely love. Lord of the Rings. Manchester United. The history of British rail. Anything you can talk about with real passion. Over the six weeks, we use that subject as the canvas to practise the techniques. By the final week, you deliver a presentation on it. Sounds strange. Works because you're learning to communicate while engaged with something you actually care about — which is much closer to real working life than pretending to care about a case study.

About Gareth
Gareth Forrest

Fourteen years in.
Still in uniform.

I'm a commissioned RAF Officer in my fourteenth year of service. I lead teams in high-pressure environments. I brief Station Commanders on decisions that have real consequences. I was project lead for Top Guns: Inside the RAF on Channel 4. And I've sat on more than a thousand high-stakes interviews from the panel side — most of them with people in their late teens and twenties trying to make their case for an officer's commission.

I'm not a guru. I'm not an influencer. I built Command Presence because I've watched the cost of bad communication play out in real rooms for years — and because almost nobody is teaching the foundational skills to the people who need them most. So I built it.
